From the East

Hello again friends, it appears that the dog days of summer are upon us, but we are not dogging it at lodge. We have been doing some degree work for new young candidates and it is great to see young men interested in our fraternity. If you have a chance come on out and see what is going on in your lodge, you are always welcome.
We had a report in July on the success of the spaghetti dinner of June 18th, it was very successful considering that the storms of that day probably kept people away due to streets flooding and trees down. I wish to thank all those who came out and had dinner with us, it is much appreciated. I also have to thank the brothers who gave their time and culinary skills to make the dinner as successful as it was, especially the head cook, Brother Terry Watson. His sauce was perfect! I also have to thank the beautiful ladies of the OES that came out and helped so much that night.
On a sad note, it is my duty to inform you of the hard times our lodge secretary, Bro. Frank Munoz, has endured this year. He lost his dear mother on May 4th, and his brother Loui on July 4th. I speak for the entire lodge when I say you have our deepest heartfelt sympathies for you and your family in your time of sorrow.
Lastly, time is going by so quickly this summer that before you know it we will be talking about the next Masonic year. Hopefully some of you brothers can come to lodge before my year as Master is history. It would be great to see some of you brothers again, and to renew friendships.
Until next time,
